2023 BC OYF nominee  Matthew Carr is owner and production manager for Linden Lane Farms, a thriving 10-acre diversified market garden located in Krestova, BC.  Matthew Carr, has spent the last 10 years developing the business with the support of his family, staff and community. The mission of the farm is to make healthy growing and eating easier, as well as showcase what is possible as a relatively small-scale diversified farm. While their main production focuses on certified organic vegetables and small fruits for farmer’s markets, CSA programs, local grocers and their new farm stand, this farm also provides the largest edible-only nursery in the region each spring, hosts thousands of visitors to their annual Pumpkin Fest sale each fall and had a successful first Christmas tree and wreath sale in December. After ten years of amazing community support, Linden Lane Farms is excited about the opportunities and challenges ahead to continue to keep up with the Kootenay’s demands for great plants, produce and food!
