Steven’s role in Malo Farms Inc. is to tackle the day-to-day operations, as well as make management decisions. Danielle and Steven are also the sole decision makers and operators of the bison company. Farming and ranching are not just a business for them; it’s a commitment to preserving their land while providing high-quality products to consumers. They take pride in the work they do and believe that sustainable farming practices are essential for future generations.
In addition to grain farming and bison ranching, Steven also runs a seed cleaning business on-farm, where they clean seed for our community and surrounding area. This venture has allowed Steven to connect with other agricultural professionals and gain or share knowledge. By diversifying in this way, it is another tool to support his own learning and create revenue.
Outside of Steven’s professional life, he is a proud dad of two wonderful daughters, Dawsyn and Rory. Balancing the responsibilities as a father and a farmer can be challenging, but it also brings him immense fulfillment. His family is deeply rooted in the agricultural way of life, and they strive to instill the values of hard work, perseverance, and respect for nature in their children
